Taakulo Somaliland Community (TASCO)
Taakulo Somaliland Community (TASCO) is a non-profit humanitarian organization established in 2005. TASCO is dedicated to the empowerment of disadvantaged people throughout Somaliland and Somalia by carrying out relief and participatory development programs emphasizing human dignity and self-reliance.
TASCO Organization was established to assist Somalis living in affected areas in Somaliland where Communities are suffering due to the persistent occurrence of famine and drought. Most of TASCO’s projects are based on the needs of the communities in which they are carried out and the people who benefit from them always take part in the planning and implementation process.
TASCO main target areas is where there is inaccessibility to UN and INGO. The principles according to which the TASCO implements its projects include a long-term commitment and partnership with the beneficiaries.
The objective is to set up sector-specific program concentrating on particular issues, such as Emergency respond, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), orphan sponsorship program, Education, Environmental issues, democracy promotion, health, livelihood and improving food security in the country.
